California

Well we are here in what must be the nicest climate anywhere on the planet warm sunny and no humidity!
Yesterday we went off the beaten track using a guide book called Back Roads California. I managed to pick up a wonderful old feedsack quilt in an
antique store in Martinez. It is made in what look like feedsack prints and is hand pieced and hand quilted. It was a steal at 150 dollars about 80 pounds sterling. I also picked up a piece of a cutter quilt in indigo and white which I will frame for my sewing room.
Here are some photos of my vintage quilt the light in the room does not do it justic so I will take more pics when I get home.

I love feedsack fabrics, and these fabrics are so lovely and softly coloured. The quilt design is wonderful!
