Work in progress a Christmas Quilt

I belong to a group of quilters who meet every Monday to sew together. This year one of the group suggested making a Christmas quilt in the group to be raffled among ourselves at our last sewing meet up before the holiday. I worked on two blocks for that quilt and hand quilted my own blocks this week. It has now moved to another quilter who will quilt her blocks etc.

The quilt looks wonderful it is a mix of all styles and in reds greens gold and cream.  I love it but I would not win an argument not to mind a raffle so I decided I would use the quilt as inspiration for my own version. I started last Tuesday and so far I have pieced a smaller version of the quilt using the same colour palette and a mix of blocks that I like.
Here are both quilts in progress, mine is the one not yet fully assembled. I love them both and I will share the two completed quilts here in the coming weeks
Hope you are all enjoying a wonderful thanksgiving weekend!

What a lovely idea and what fabulous quilts! I especially love the little snowman block - looking forward to seeing more pics once they are complete.
Happy quilting!

Both quilts are lovely Liv!
It's a great idea to make something special just to be used at Christmas.
Have a good week!
